Abstract	Die weltweite Erholung ist zunehmend selbsttragend und gewinnt an Breite. Das Tempo der Erholung unterscheidet sich jedoch, nicht nur zwischen fortgeschrittenen und aufstrebenden Volkswirtschaften, sondern auch innerhalb der ersteren dieser beiden Gruppen. Die Arbeitslosigkeit verharrt in den meisten OECD-Ländern auf hohem Niveau. In der Mehrzahl dieser Länder war ein starker Anstieg der Gesamtinflation zu verzeichnen, und auch die Inflationserwartungen bewegen sich nach oben; die Trendrate der Inflation wird aber wahrscheinlich nur langsam zunehmen. In den Nicht-OECD-Volkswirtschaften kommen auf Grund eines lebhaften Wachstums der Binnennachfrage, negativer Angebotsschocks und starker Kapitalzuflüsse inflationäre Spannungen auf, auf die mit einer Straffung der wirtschaftspolitischen Rahmenbedingungen geantwortet wird, was die Erholung verlangsamen könnte.
