| Abstract | Dans tous les pays de l’OCDE, les gouvernements doivent composer avec des budgets de plus en plus restreints tout en cherchant, par le biais de l’action publique, à accroître l’efficacité de leur système éducatif et à faire face à la demande grandissante de formation. Conçue pour permettre aux pays d’évaluer la performance de leur système d’enseignement à la lumière de celle d’autres pays, l’édition 2011 de Regards sur l’éducation : Les indicateurs de l’OCDE présente un large éventail d’indicateurs actualisés et comparables sur les résultats des systèmes éducatifs. Ces indicateurs sont le fruit d’une concertation entre spécialistes sur la façon de mesurer l’état actuel de l’éducation à l’échelle internationale. Les indicateurs montrent qui participe aux activités éducatives, quelles dépenses leur sont affectées, et comment les systèmes éducatifs fonctionnent et quels sont les résultats obtenus. Les indicateurs de résultats portent sur des aspects très variés, allant de la comparaison des performances des élèves dans des disciplines fondamentales jusqu’à l’analyse de l’impact de la formation sur les revenus et sur les perspectives d’emploi à l’âge adulte. Cette édition comprend de nouveaux indicateurs, portant notamment sur : les réformes sur les frais de scolarité mises en place depuis 1995 ; la relation entre le milieu social et les résultats d’apprentissage ; le degré de responsabilisation des établissements d’enseignement publics et privés ; les domaines d’études choisis par les étudiants ; les débouchés sur le marché du travail selon les filières professionnelle et académique ; l’état des lieux des activités de formation des adultes ; et l’engagement des élèves dans la lecture. Les fichiers Excel™ qui ont servi à établir les tableaux et graphiques figurant dans cet ouvrage sont disponibles via les liens StatLinks fournis. National Digital Library of India (NDLI) is a virtual repository of learning resources which is not just a repository with search/browse facilities but provides a host of services for the learner community. It is sponsored and mentored by Ministry of Education, Government of India, through its National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology (NMEICT). Filtered and federated searching is employed to facilitate focused searching so that learners can find the right resource with least effort and in minimum time. NDLI provides user group-specific services such as Examination Preparatory for School and College students and job aspirants. Services for Researchers and general learners are also provided. NDLI is designed to hold content of any language and provides interface support for 10 most widely used Indian languages. It is built to provide support for all academic levels including researchers and life-long learners, all disciplines, all popular forms of access devices and differently-abled learners. It is designed to enable people to learn and prepare from best practices from all over the world and to facilitate researchers to perform inter-linked exploration from multiple sources. It is developed, operated and maintained from Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur.
