Abstract	La politique de libéralisation des échanges extérieurs et la qualité de l’accueil réservée aux investissements étrangers ont apporté une contribution essentielle à l’établissement d’une économie de marché. L’objectif d’adhésion à l’UE et au marché unique a été confirmé officiellement en 1991 quand la Pologne a signé, aux côtés d’autres pays d’Europe centrale, un Accord d’association (Accord européen) avec l’UE, entré en vigueur en février 1994. La partie de cet accord relative aux échanges, mise en application en 1992, prévoyait l’instauration graduelle du libre-échange des produits industriels entre la Pologne et l’UE ainsi que des concessions réciproques dans le domaine agricole. L’UE a supprimé les droits de douane et les restrictions quantitatives aux importations de la plupart des produits industriels en janvier 1995 et la Pologne a fait de même en janvier 1999.
