Abstract	La globalización ha beneficiado a nuestras economías nacionales. La globalización no es un fenómeno nuevo, pero el ritmo de integración de las economías y los mercados nacionales ha aumentado significativamente en los últimos años. El libre movimiento de capitales y trabajo, el traslado de las instalaciones de fabricación desde ubicaciones de alto coste a otras de menor coste, la eliminación progresiva de las barreras al comercio, el desarrollo tecnológico y de las telecomunicaciones y la siempre creciente importancia de la gestión de riesgos y del desarrollo, protección y explotación de la propiedad intelectual, han tenido un impacto importante en la manera en que se desarrollan las actividades transfronterizas. La globalización ha impulsado el comercio y ha aumentado la inversión extranjera directa (IED) en muchos países. Por lo tanto, la globalización apoya el crecimiento, crea trabajo, fomenta la innovación y ha facilitado que millones de personas salgan de la pobreza.
