| Abstract | Cette Ligne directrice a été conçue pour obtenir les informations nécessaires pour confirmer ou mieux caractériser une neurotoxicité potentielle de produits chimiques chez des animaux adultes. Cette Ligne directrice utilise le rat. Elle s'adresse spécifiquement à l'administration quotidienne par voie orale, par gavage, (dans l’alimentation, dans l’eau de boisson ou dans des gélules) de la substance d'essai. Quand l'étude est entreprise comme une étude séparée, au moins 20 animaux (10 femelles et 10 mâles) devrait être employés dans chaque dose. Au moins trois groupes traités et un groupe de contrôle devraient généralement être employés. Des niveaux de dose devraient être choisis en prenant en considération toute toxicité précédemment observée et toutes données cinétiques disponibles pour la substance d'essai. Le régime de dosage peut être de 28 jours, 90 jours (subchronique) ou 1 an ou plus (chronique). Les procédures visées dans cette Ligne directrice peuvent également être employées pour une étude aiguë de neurotoxicité. L'essai de limite correspond à un niveau de dose d’au moins 1000 mg/kg pc. Les résultats de cette étude incluent des mesures (pesée, consommation d’eau et de nourriture), des essais fonctionnels, et des observations, au moins quotidiennes, détaillées (ophtalmologie, hématologie, biochimie clinique et histopathologie). Au moins cinq mâles et cinq femelles, choisis parmi le groupe d'essai, devraient être perfusés in situ et utilisés pour la neurohistopathologie détaillée à la fin de l'étude. Les résultats de l'étude doivent être évalués en termes d'incidence, sévérité et corrélation des effets sur le comportement et neuropathologiques (également des effets neurochimiques ou électrophysiologiques si des examens supplémentaires sont inclus) et de tous les autres effets nuisibles observés. |

National Digital Library of India (NDLI) is a virtual repository of learning resources which is not just a repository with search/browse facilities but provides a host of services for the learner community. It is sponsored and mentored by Ministry of Education, Government of India, through its National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology (NMEICT). Filtered and federated searching is employed to facilitate focused searching so that learners can find the right resource with least effort and in minimum time. NDLI provides user group-specific services such as Examination Preparatory for School and College students and job aspirants. Services for Researchers and general learners are also provided. NDLI is designed to hold content of any language and provides interface support for 10 most widely used Indian languages. It is built to provide support for all academic levels including researchers and life-long learners, all disciplines, all popular forms of access devices and differently-abled learners. It is designed to enable people to learn and prepare from best practices from all over the world and to facilitate researchers to perform inter-linked exploration from multiple sources. It is developed, operated and maintained from Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur.
