| Abstract | The microwave power source of non-coherent short pulse (NCSP) radar is a relativistic backward wave oscillator, which is a kind of vacuum electronics device. The moving target coherent integration method for the NCSP radar is a challenging task. Firstly, due to the mechanism of generating microwave pulses, the centre frequency and initial phase of the transmitting signal in the NCSP radar are random, and the envelope of the microwave pulse also has jitter. Therefore, the well-known moving target detection method cannot be carried out straightforwardly by the NCSP radar. Secondly, range cell migration (RCM) effects induced by target motion would result in serious integration performance loss. In this study, a method based on Radon–Fourier transform is proposed to the scenario of moving target coherent integration for the NCSP radar. Not only the non-coherent factors of transmitting signal but also RCM effects have been compensated carefully. Also, the staggered pulse repetition frequency technique is applied to overcome blind speed sidelobes effect. Numerical experiments are performed to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method. |

National Digital Library of India (NDLI) is a virtual repository of learning resources which is not just a repository with search/browse facilities but provides a host of services for the learner community. It is sponsored and mentored by Ministry of Education, Government of India, through its National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology (NMEICT). Filtered and federated searching is employed to facilitate focused searching so that learners can find the right resource with least effort and in minimum time. It is designed to enable people to learn and prepare from best practices from all over the world and to facilitate researchers to perform inter-linked exploration from multiple sources. It is developed, operated and maintained from Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur.
