Abstract	Semantic grids refer to those grids that their resources and services have been described by the means of semantic meta data and ontologies. In this paper we propose a resource discovery framework for semantic grids using the notion of modular ontologies. We exploit interface-based modular ontology formalism whose through ontologies can be described and be accessed by a set of interfaces. We show how this formalism help looking for distributed resources in semantic grids. We describe the architecture of the resource managers nodes and their resource discovery algorithms.
