Abstract	This paper considers the potentials of gas -fired cogeneration systems for the industries in Peninsular Malaysia. Analyses were done to find an optimal size of cogeneration plant according to the customers demand profile. A tool was used to determine the financial feasibility of the optimal plant and sensititivity analysis were done to study the impact of the variations of factors such as fuel prices and electricity tariff. It was found that cogeneration plant is financially feasible and robust to the variations of fuel prices and electricity tariff subsidy in Malaysia.
