Abstract | The adaptation of deception electronic attack (EA) for radars has been facilitated by the availability of digital radio frequency memories. This paper proposed a method to employ stretch processing to reject range false targets (RFT) produced by a hostile EA system that present low detection probabilities of the true targets due to high jammer-to-signal ratios (JSR) and the repeated multiple RFTs. Exploiting the least mean square (LMS) adaptation algorithm to estimate the jamming signals in contaminated compound echoes, we develop a nulling filter to resolve the desired targets from jammers. The jammer estimations are then used to cancel the RFTs from the received signal that minimizes the JSR of the jammer contributions to radars. Simulations are given to demonstrate that the approach provides satisfactory improvement in performance. |

National Digital Library of India (NDLI) is a virtual repository of learning resources which is not just a repository with search/browse facilities but provides a host of services for the learner community. It is designed to enable people to learn and prepare from best practices from all over the world and to facilitate researchers to perform inter-linked exploration from multiple sources. It is developed, operated and maintained from Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur.
