Abstract	In this paper, a new methodology is presented to obtain the hybrid load model parameters for any transformer in a distribution system. The proposed methodology starts from experimental data collected on the low voltage side of a sample of transformers. Some statistical tools are used to obtain the model parameters on some properly chosen time intervals and then, the results are projected over the remaining transformers in the system. The proposed models are validated in an operating distribution system finding promising results for the active power model The proposed methodology shows some advantages compared to those in the reviewed references, due to the fact that the parameters are obtained from collected data. This fact allows taking into account every user including those called defrauders. The model can be used on situations where socio-economical level may not be well defined. Finally, the proposed model defines criteria for the projection from the sampled transformers to the entire system.
