| Abstract | Relatively new field in optoelectronics named transparent electronics contributed to a development of potential applications based on transparent thin film oxide conductors and semiconductors. Such thin films may be applied in flat panel displays, solar cells and smart coatings for architectural glass. The attractiveness of thin oxide films depends mainly on specific applications, although both low resistivity and low optical absorption are always demanded. Moreover, the need for prepearation of semiconducting oxide materials with n-type and p-type of electrical conduction is meaningful for transparent junction realization. In this work the TiO thin films doped with different amount of Pd and V have been investigated. The dopants were incorporated into TiO matrix during magnetron sputtering deposition of the thin films. For characterization of the fabricated thin films the optical and electrical measurements were applied. The optical results show that different amount of dopant have not influenced transparency of prepared TiO thin films in the case of V doping, while the thin films with Pd become opaque with the increase in the Pd amount. Except the high transparency, the doped TiO thin films have semiconducting properties at room temperature and were able to form junctions with silicon substrate. In summary the thin films based on TiO with the best optical and electrical parameters have been selected. |

National Digital Library of India (NDLI) is a virtual repository of learning resources which is not just a repository with search/browse facilities but provides a host of services for the learner community. It is sponsored and mentored by Ministry of Education, Government of India, through its National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology (NMEICT). Filtered and federated searching is employed to facilitate focused searching so that learners can find the right resource with least effort and in minimum time. NDLI provides user group-specific services such as Examination Preparatory for School and College students and job aspirants. Services for Researchers and general learners are also provided. NDLI is designed to hold content of any language and provides interface support for 10 most widely used Indian languages. It is built to provide support for all academic levels including researchers and life-long learners, all disciplines, all popular forms of access devices and differently-abled learners. It is designed to enable people to learn and prepare from best practices from all over the world and to facilitate researchers to perform inter-linked exploration from multiple sources. It is developed, operated and maintained from Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur.
