| Abstract | Considering the fact that the operating condition of power system with wind farm is more complicated and variable, this paper uses probabilistic load flow (PLF)method and non-sequential Monte-Carlo simulation to analyze the operational reliability. Firstly, combining the historical statistical data of system components' outage rate and the operating characteristics of current system statement, this paper uses bus voltage and branch power flow as real-time operating variables to develop the real-time outage model for conventional generators and lines. As for the output of wind power's forecast, Beta distribution can well match the conditional probability of actual output of wind power with a given predictive value within short period. And then, the load-cutting model is improved by introducing bus real-time importance. Finally, the operational reliability of power system with wind farm is evaluated by calculating expected demand not supplied(EDNS)and the probability of system low voltage(PSLV) as indexes. The effectiveness of the models and method presented in this paper is tested by the modified IEEE-RTS79 system. |

National Digital Library of India (NDLI) is a virtual repository of learning resources which is not just a repository with search/browse facilities but provides a host of services for the learner community. It is sponsored and mentored by Ministry of Education, Government of India, through its National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology (NMEICT). Filtered and federated searching is employed to facilitate focused searching so that learners can find the right resource with least effort and in minimum time. NDLI is designed to hold content of any language and provides interface support for 10 most widely used Indian languages. It is built to provide support for all academic levels including researchers and life-long learners, all disciplines, all popular forms of access devices and differently-abled learners. It is designed to enable people to learn and prepare from best practices from all over the world and to facilitate researchers to perform inter-linked exploration from multiple sources. It is developed, operated and maintained from Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur.
