Abstract	The aim of the paper is to study the electrical and thermal properties of Bi/sub 2/O/sub 3/, PbO and mixed oxides of Bi/sub 2/O/sub 3/-PbO system (Bi/sub 12/PbO/sub 19/ and Bi/sub 6/Pb/sub 2/O/sub 11/). The specific dark conductivity of structures under study was found to be quite low /spl sim/ 10/sup -12/ 10/sup -14/ /spl Omega//sup -1/m/sup -1/ at room temperature. Thermal conductivity of Bi/sub 2/O/sub 3/, PbO and bismuth-lead-oxide compounds were found to be quite high: 1.3 -2.2 W/m-K. The paper also reports on the investigation of temperature dependence of thermal conductivity within the temperature range 290-670 K.
