| Abstract | On 17 October 2011 full 85 years passed since the day of birth of the Professor, Doctor of Science Voskresensky Dmitry Ivanovich, laureate of State USSR prize and of USSR Council of Ministers prize, the laureate of three prizes of USSR Ministry of High education, honored worker of science and honored worker of Soviet High school. The scientific community recognizes D. I. Voskresensky as a distinguished scientist, who made significant contribution to the development of world and national science in the field of antennas and microwave theory and techniques. Professor D. I. Voskresensky is the author of many scientific publications and monographs, promoting the efficient approaches in theory and design of antennas and microwave techniques. He generated a number of scientific studies in the above mentioned field, being widely developed further by his advanced learners. Professor D. I. Voskresensky developed the theory of waveguide systems (1955–1960), proposed a new class of convex scanning antennas (1963–1978), developed the theory of antenna systems with signal processing, published fundamental papers in theory of phased arrays. During his scientific activities D. I. Voskresensky published more than 200 publications (including 32 patents, 20 monographs). Professor D. I. Voskresensky is also a talented mentor of young people. He is a founder and head of recognized Antenna school MAI, which is supported by the Russian Foundation of Basic Research Russian Academy of Science (RFBR RAN), editorial board member of number of Russian scientific magazines. During many years he was a Program Committee member of scientific conferences, symposia and workshops (since 1999 he is full member of Program Committee CriMiCo). Professor D. I. Voskresensky is the member of Council on education (Chairman of the Commission on radio electronic warfare), full member of International Academy of Science on Information Processes and Technology (1994), honorary Academician in Academy of Applied Radio Electronics of Belarus, Russia and Ukraine (1999). He is awarded medals by the name of Wiener, A. S. Lavochkin and others. Organizing Committee of conference CriMiCo»2007 unanimously decided to assign the name of Professor D. I. National Digital Library of India (NDLI) is a virtual repository of learning resources which is not just a repository with search/browse facilities but provides a host of services for the learner community. It is sponsored and mentored by Ministry of Education, Government of India, through its National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology (NMEICT). Filtered and federated searching is employed to facilitate focused searching so that learners can find the right resource with least effort and in minimum time. NDLI provides user group-specific services such as Examination Preparatory for School and College students and job aspirants. Services for Researchers and general learners are also provided. NDLI is designed to hold content of any language and provides interface support for 10 most widely used Indian languages. It is built to provide support for all academic levels including researchers and life-long learners, all disciplines, all popular forms of access devices and differently-abled learners. It is designed to enable people to learn and prepare from best practices from all over the world and to facilitate researchers to perform inter-linked exploration from multiple sources. It is developed, operated and maintained from Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur.

NDLI is a conglomeration of freely available or institutionally contributed or donated or publisher managed contents. Almost all these contents are hosted and accessed from respective sources. The responsibility for authenticity, relevance, completeness, accuracy, reliability and suitability of these contents rests with the respective organization and NDLI has no responsibility or liability for these. Every effort is made to keep the NDLI portal up and running smoothly unless there are some unavoidable technical issues.
Ministry of Education, through its National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology (NMEICT), has sponsored and funded the National Digital Library of India (NDLI) project.
