| Abstract | Effective frequency spectrum utilization techniques are required to cope with wireless broadband traffic growth. We are studying a method to minimize mutual radio wave interference by coordinating wireless home network access points (APs). For controlling the radio wave reaching range to reduce interference to neighboring terminals or APs, precisely estimation techniques of range is important. A commonly used method to estimate radio wave reaching ranges is site surveys where the user or operator measures propagation characteristics. However, the problem of this method is that a large burden is placed on the user because it is necessary to densely collect the radio data over the entire area to precisely estimate radio wave reaching ranges, especially in complicated indoor radio propagation environments where there is considerable propagation variability. In addition, it is difficult to collect all the radio data in the users' area with the private wireless systems whose APs are freely put by users such as wireless LANs (WLANs), so it is necessary to estimate the users' indoor propagation environment by using radio data from users' daily lives through the network. We therefore propose a method that uses sparse data to estimate material parameters for precisely modeling indoor radio propagation. Experimental evaluations demonstrated it decreased the number of data items needing to be collected. |

National Digital Library of India (NDLI) is a virtual repository of learning resources which is not just a repository with search/browse facilities but provides a host of services for the learner community. It is sponsored and mentored by Ministry of Education, Government of India, through its National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology (NMEICT). Filtered and federated searching is employed to facilitate focused searching so that learners can find the right resource with least effort and in minimum time. NDLI provides user group-specific services such as Examination Preparatory for School and College students and job aspirants. Services for Researchers and general learners are also provided. NDLI is designed to hold content of any language and provides interface support for 10 most widely used Indian languages. It is built to provide support for all academic levels including researchers and life-long learners, all disciplines, all popular forms of access devices and differently-abled learners. It is designed to enable people to learn and prepare from best practices from all over the world and to facilitate researchers to perform inter-linked exploration from multiple sources. It is developed, operated and maintained from Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur.
