Abstract	To obtain the best possible advantage from power networks, the supply side and demand side should be operated at high efficiency. To achieve this, it is essential to have high power quality throughout the system. Harmonic distortions significantly affect the supply power quality. Harmonic distortion measurements are the articles used for determination of harmonic margins. The electric measurements have been taking place in the period from 1996 until now. They include approximately 250 different end-users, 90 of them installed capacitor banks. The real time measurements had a one-day duration at least for each user. The paper demonstrates and focuses on harmonic emissions of different load types. The results provide a guideline that helps customers and researches assess the overall distortion of a variety of loads. It must be emphasized that these result values are for guidance only. The actual harmonic can vary from installation to installation. The target of the measurements is to be able to determine the maximum distortions. The statistical figures of real-time measured distortion are presented.
