Abstract	The ECG is a very important signal to obtain information about the psychophysical status of a person. The possibility to non-intrusively monitor it offers the opportunity to retrieve data about the man-machine-environment interactions and to influence the variable parameters of the whole system to improve the overall safety and comfort but maintaining the required performances. This study face this problem through the development of environmental electrodes. These allow the unconscious recording of the single first lead during a simple task that requires the use of some objects where the electrodes are embedded. Validation demonstrated that these new electrodes have a good behavior and are not distinguishable from the standard ones. Further testing and the integration with other sensors is in progress.
