Abstract	OLAP is as a kind of fluffy, assay and decision-making implement, MDX is a kind of multi-search language. The features of OLAP and MDX are analyzed, studies and discussions are conducted on some techniques of Visual Basic (VB) in association with MDX and OLAP mentioned in the paper. Finally, a practical example is given, from designing the OLAP data structure to programming the VB application program.
