| Abstract | A new high-efficiency and cost-effective dualoutput LLC resonant converter is proposed in this paper. The proposed converter can get tightly regulated dual-output voltages by adding only one auxiliary switch and PWM IC to conventional LLC resonant converter. Therefore, it features a simpler structure, less mass, and lower cost of production. Furthermore, since all power switches are turned on or off under zero-voltage switching (ZVS) or zero-current switching (ZCS), it has several favorable advantages such as high-efficiency, low switching loss, improved electromagnetic interference (EMI), and reduced burden on the cooling system. This paper presents a dual-output LLC resonant converter applicable to the PDP TV power supply. The proposed converter achieves maximum power conversion efficiency of 96.5% at full load condition. The operational principle, theoretical analysis, and design considerations are presented. Also, to confirm the operation, validity and features of the proposed converter, experimental results from a 420W, 200Vdc/50Vdc prototype are presented. |

National Digital Library of India (NDLI) is a virtual repository of learning resources which is not just a repository with search/browse facilities but provides a host of services for the learner community. It is sponsored and mentored by Ministry of Education, Government of India, through its National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology (NMEICT). Filtered and federated searching is employed to facilitate focused searching so that learners can find the right resource with least effort and in minimum time. NDLI is designed to hold content of any language and provides interface support for 10 most widely used Indian languages. It is designed to enable people to learn and prepare from best practices from all over the world and to facilitate researchers to perform inter-linked exploration from multiple sources. It is developed, operated and maintained from Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur.
