Abstract	Magnetic particle imaging (MPI) is capable of imaging the spatial distribution of magnetic nanoparticles in-vivo [1, 2, 3]. The image is formed by steering a field-free point (FFP) through the field-of-view (FOV). Due to physiological constraints, the width of the rapidly scanned volume is limited in size [1]. In order to still acquire larger volumes, Gleich et al. introduced the so-called focus field that can shift the center of the scanned volume. It allows to acquire multiple sub-volumes at different focus-field positions and later combine them into a larger volume [4,5]. In this work, we show first results on phantom focus-field experiments using the Philips / Bruker preclinical MPI scanner. In contrast to [5] we use non-overlapping focus-field patches and acquire the system functions on the entire FOV.
