Abstract	In this paper dynamic behavior of a healthy inductive motor is simulated by finite element method using FLUX 2D software. The area of the air gap is divided into rotary and stationary parts in simulations, so that the problem of lengthy simulation time due to automatic variations in the air gap meshing and software errors in case of imbalances of air gap has been solved. The results show that the dynamic behavior of induction motor does not vary in the two cases of compressed air gap and amended air gap. The observed partial variation is the result of alteration of meshing elements in the two stated conditions.
