Abstract	Admission Control between wirelesses networks, such as cellular networks or WLAN (Wireless Local Area Network), plays an important role to utilize radio resources in a more efficient way. In this paper, we propose an adaptive admission control scheme for the channelized networks in terms of connection-level QoS (Quality of Service). The contributions of our work are threefold. First, by using network queuing theory, our scheme is presented and analyzed based on multidimensional Markov chain. Second, to meet the high QoS requirements of different services and lower the blocking probability, certain services can be transformed between real-time wide-band services and non-real-time narrow-band services as necessary. Meanwhile, other strategies, such as pre-emptive priority, are also introduced to further ensure the quality of service of high-priority users and services. Simulation results are also provided for demonstrating that the proposed scheme can improve the system performance compared with existing schemes.
