| Abstract | Summary form only given. TVWS service is expected to be introduced in the near future. It should have to be capable of providing the broadcasting and TVWS services. However, it is difficult to share between broadcasting service and TVWS service in dense urban areas of the propagation environment. To date, there is no propagation prediction model for analysis of the two services. Recommendation ITU-R P.1546, propagation prediction method, is one of the candidates to analyze the both services. Recommendation ITU-R P.1546 is a point-to-area propagation prediction model, which is 30 ~ 3000 MHz of the frequency band corresponding to the intervals 1 ~ 1000 km distance. But it lacks accuracy for urban propagation model less than 1 km. To improve the accuracy of the recommendation ITU-R P.1546, there was carried out research to domestic dense urban area for improvement of propagation prediction model. There was applied to the existing prediction model to examine the propagation environment and the domestic classification can be applied to dense urban areas for a new topology classification. The last 10 years, urbanization, dense, forest development is accelerating the building of the propagation environment in urban areas. The situation is worsening day by day in the geographic information system (GIS). In order to accurately propagation analysis of failure affecting the precision of propagation prediction analysis, there need to classify obstacles (or clutter) to analyze the characteristics (distribution, shape, density, etc.) in a real urban environment terrain/ obstacles like building. So, there were prepared for acts as a high-resolution GIS data analysis for building information through detailed classification criteria. To verify this estimate, the domestic classification that can be applied to dense urban areas to improve propagation prediction model selected sample areas where the propagation characteristics of two measurements were performed. And actual results and expected results of a comparative analysis of existing models through the existing propagation limitations of the predictive model were confirmed. The analysis results were derived that improved prediction reliability for lowrise/high-dense urban areas by implementing the detailed classification of clutter height and density. Consequently, analysis of the existing propagation prediction model is developed for the purpose of propagation distance is applicable in urban areas concentrated in the complexity and too unreliable predictions derived. In the conclusion, this result required to obtain and update shortly high spatial resolution information (GIS data) in order to more precise and accurate propagation analysis. |
