Abstract	Healthcare processes must be systematically monitored for compliance with legislation, organizational guidelines and quality of care protocols. In this paper we identify requirements that a framework for continuous compliance monitoring ofB2B processes should support. We present a framework that integrates a common streaming event data model with agent-based surveillance to provide continuous support for dynamic exception alerts and performance management reporting in order to validate and ensure compliance with policies. The approach compares favourably with the more traditional application approach of a Web portal. We have implemented a prototype of our framework and evaluated it based on a pain management scenario for palliative care.
