NDLI: Preliminary Children Health Care Service Using Ubiquitous Technology

Abstract	This is aiming at early preliminary diagnosis services to prevent hyperactivities among attention deficit-hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) related symptoms. To select child ADHD, two methods, i.e., the K-CBCL child behavior check list and observations of child behaviors were used. The K-CBCL method was performed online at the home of each subject and the observations of child behaviors were not directly made by person but 3-axes acceleration sensors and RFID Tags were used to calculate the amounts of activities and movements of children in order to observe hyperactivities. The data from K-CBCL, the 3-axes acceleration sensors and the RFID Tags were analyzed and thereby 41 suspected group children were selected and through secondary examination, 12 ADHD children could be found out from the 41 suspected group children. It could be seen that using 3-axes acceleration sensors and RFID Tags that are ubiquitous technologies was effective in selecting children with hyperactivity.
