| Abstract | The finite difference method is used to analyze influence of depth excavation on the underground pipeline around the foundation pits of Fuming road station in Ningbo urban rail transit project construction. Soil reinforcement in passive zone is considered in this paper. Based on assumption of plane strain, calculation is carried out for 11 steps excavation in the most dangerous section. Influence of the excavation on horizontal displacement, stress of underground pipeline is discussed. Some valuable conclusions for construction practice are also drawn from the analysis. The results of this paper can provide a reference for the design, construction and protection of the underground pipeline in Ningbo city. |

National Digital Library of India (NDLI) is a virtual repository of learning resources which is not just a repository with search/browse facilities but provides a host of services for the learner community. It is sponsored and mentored by Ministry of Education, Government of India, through its National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology (NMEICT). It is designed to enable people to learn and prepare from best practices from all over the world and to facilitate researchers to perform inter-linked exploration from multiple sources. It is developed, operated and maintained from Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur.
