| Abstract | Improving the reliability of power supply is one of the most important objectives in the smart grid framework. There are a plenty of investments in Xiamen, one of the six “high reliability demonstrated cities” in China, to explore strategies to improve the reliability in China. Reducing average interruption hours of customer (AIHC-1) is one of the main targets of the investments. Conventionally, this index is obtained according to the historical data. There is a lack of methodology to forecast AIHC-1. Therefore, it is difficult to assess the risk level of the network in the future to determine the maintenance planning, operation duty and upgrading schedule of power grid. To meet this challenge, the On-line Distribution System Risk Assessment System (ODSRAS) is designed to forecast the annual AIHC-1 in Xiamen. This system can quantitatively assess AIHC-1 in the given town, or in different substations and feeders. Therefore, pointed maintenance planning, operation duty and upgrading scheme of power grid can be made to improve the reliability according to the results from ODSRAS. In this paper, the framework and the HMI of ODSRAS are introduced. It is expected that the system in this paper can provide references for improving reliability by risk theory. |

National Digital Library of India (NDLI) is a virtual repository of learning resources which is not just a repository with search/browse facilities but provides a host of services for the learner community. It is sponsored and mentored by Ministry of Education, Government of India, through its National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology (NMEICT). Filtered and federated searching is employed to facilitate focused searching so that learners can find the right resource with least effort and in minimum time. NDLI provides user group-specific services such as Examination Preparatory for School and College students and job aspirants. Services for Researchers and general learners are also provided. NDLI is designed to hold content of any language and provides interface support for 10 most widely used Indian languages. It is built to provide support for all academic levels including researchers and life-long learners, all disciplines, all popular forms of access devices and differently-abled learners. It is designed to enable people to learn and prepare from best practices from all over the world and to facilitate researchers to perform inter-linked exploration from multiple sources. It is developed, operated and maintained from Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur.
