| Abstract | This paper presents a new parameter optimization technique in order to parameter optimization of Linear Optimal Control (LOC) and Power System Stabilizer (PSS) in multi-machine power system. The optimized LOC consists of the advantages of conventional stabilizers. Also, the proposed LOC demonstrates excellent performance with fast response in multi-machine power systems. These features are developed by extended simulations and different conditions. Also, the method employs transient parameters of Q-axis for PSS and LOC in order to better damping oscillations. Simulations are performed by MATLAB software and the results proved that the proposed optimized LOC and PSS significantly improve the dynamic response of the power system in various conditions and different disturbances. After coefficient calculation for multi-machine systems, regard to transient parameters of Q-axis, multi-machine LOC and PSS parameters are optimized and the results are extracted. |

National Digital Library of India (NDLI) is a virtual repository of learning resources which is not just a repository with search/browse facilities but provides a host of services for the learner community. It is sponsored and mentored by Ministry of Education, Government of India, through its National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology (NMEICT). NDLI is designed to hold content of any language and provides interface support for 10 most widely used Indian languages. It is built to provide support for all academic levels including researchers and life-long learners, all disciplines, all popular forms of access devices and differently-abled learners. It is designed to enable people to learn and prepare from best practices from all over the world and to facilitate researchers to perform inter-linked exploration from multiple sources. It is developed, operated and maintained from Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur.
