Abstract	Ecological security is the core and basis of sustainable land utilization. Study of land ecological security has become a forefront area in study of sustainable land utilization. Based on Pressure-State-Response model, the paper constructed an evaluation index system of land ecological security. The index system was composed of land resource pressure, land resource state and cultural environment response. Then the paper established an evaluation model of land ecological security based on attribute recognition theory. Finally the paper evaluated land ecosystem conditions of the nine cities along the Changjiang River in Anhui Province in 2007. The sequence of the cities is: Anqing≪Chaohu≪Chizhou≪Chuzhou ≪Wuhu ≪Tongling≪Maanshan≪Hefei≪Xuancheng. Maanshan, Hefei, Tongling and Xuancheng belong to “critically secure” grade and the other five cities belong to “relatively insecure” grade. Secure conditions of the three elements belong to “critically secure” or “relatively insecure” grade. The results can provide references for solution of land ecological problems.
