Abstract	Fundamental differences between MRP-II and repair systems requirements are discussed. It is argued that because various things occur on the floor of the repair shop the standard off-the-shelf MRP-II software requires some key modifications. Standard MRP-II versus MRP-II in the repair environment are the same in principle but different in the detail required to plan material and capacity. The repair material plan requires one additional bill of material factor for the material plan beyond the lead time for the part. The master schedule in the repair shop must provide for the disassembly of the used carcass in time for the repair of the required parts for reassembly at a later time. In planning capacity, the system must maintain a historical record and percentage records as each part travels across each work center in its routing. A capacity planning system is noted that uses the percentage in planning when each part is expected to cross each work center.<>
