| Abstract | Bowtie Antenna as partial discharge (PD) sensor had been modified to be an Enhanced Bowtie (EBT) which had better performance. But the development of the sensor performance should not be satisfied until here. New model should be researched continuously to achieve better performance. This paper deals with newly developed design based on the previous model, EBT. Developing new model is made by simulating wing radius and arm size. From twenty-one new simulated models, there are three new models fabricated due to initial information from simulation result which is compared with that of EBT. Simulation is performed on return-loss (dB) and effective height (mm), while experiment is conducted on return-loss, sensor gain, and charge detection sensitivity from PD in GIS 66 kV model tank. Experimental results show good agreement with simulation results. Finally, this paper proposes two of three fabricated sensors which show good performance as new optimized sensor due to better performance than EBT. One is Big Glasses model (BG) which has 42.5 mm wing radius 5.5 mm arm size, and the other is Small Glasses model (SG) which has 27.5 mm wing radius 3 mm arm size. Either BG or SG shows 40% higher detection sensitivity than EBT in PD charge. While Mid Glasses (MG) model with 40 mm wing radius 0.5 mm arm size not only fails to fulfill effective height requirements but also shows just similar result as EBT. |

National Digital Library of India (NDLI) is a virtual repository of learning resources which is not just a repository with search/browse facilities but provides a host of services for the learner community. It is sponsored and mentored by Ministry of Education, Government of India, through its National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology (NMEICT). Filtered and federated searching is employed to facilitate focused searching so that learners can find the right resource with least effort and in minimum time. NDLI provides user group-specific services such as Examination Preparatory for School and College students and job aspirants. Services for Researchers and general learners are also provided. NDLI is designed to hold content of any language and provides interface support for 10 most widely used Indian languages. It is built to provide support for all academic levels including researchers and life-long learners, all disciplines, all popular forms of access devices and differently-abled learners. It is designed to enable people to learn and prepare from best practices from all over the world and to facilitate researchers to perform inter-linked exploration from multiple sources. It is developed, operated and maintained from Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur.
