Abstract	The paper discusses the design, implementation and testing of an object oriented simulation engine capable of producing knowledge based simulations. The simulation engine provides a high level Lisp like script language for describing the process being simulated. As a detailed example, a Kaymr continuous digester has been simulated. The simulation engine is made up of four distinct objects which have been implemented as individual programs in a Windows operating system. The result is an easy to use, cost effective solution to the problem of creating training simulations for industrial processes.
