Abstract | The first order reaction kinetics was used to describe the irreversible structure relaxation, studied by means of the magnetic after-effect (MAE) measurements in the amorphous near-zero magnetostrictive Co/sub 71.5/Fe/sub 2.5/Mn/sub 2/Mo/sub 1/Si/sub 9/B/sub 14/ alloy. The long time (t/sub 2/=2/spl divide/25000s) measurements were performed at elevated temperatures: 379/spl divide/520 K for the as-quenched and stabilized (annealed at 623 W/2h) samples. Basing on the Hesse-Rubartsch's method, the distribution range and the most probable value of the activation energy were calculated from isotherms. Three-peak activation energy spectra were obtained, which points to three different relaxation processes.< |

National Digital Library of India (NDLI) is a virtual repository of learning resources which is not just a repository with search/browse facilities but provides a host of services for the learner community. It is sponsored and mentored by Ministry of Education, Government of India, through its National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology (NMEICT). It is designed to enable people to learn and prepare from best practices from all over the world and to facilitate researchers to perform inter-linked exploration from multiple sources. It is developed, operated and maintained from Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur.
