| Description | A statistical model for the multiple-drop-impact erosion of brittle solids was developed. An equation for calculating the rate of erosion is given. The development is not complete since two quantities that are needed to calculate the rate of erosion with use of the equation must be assessed from experimental data. A partial test of the equation shows that it gives results that are in good agreement with experimental observation. |
