| Abstract | This article provides a systematic review of self-monitoring studies published between 2000 and 2016 in order to investigate the effectiveness of implementing a self-monitoring strategy to improve the outcomes of students with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). A total of nine articles and dissertations were located and reviewed. The findings revealed that most of the students with ADHD in these studies showed improvement in their on-task behavior and academic outcomes after participating in a self-monitoring intervention. Future studies should be conducted to confirm the studies' findings outlined here. |
