| Abstract | The title compound, C23H21ClN2O, was obtained via the condensation of trans anethole [systematic name: (E)-1-Methoxy-4-(1-propenyl)benzene] with diarylnitrilimine. In the molecule, the pyrazole ring adopts a twisted conformation. Dihedral angles between the pyrazole group and the three aromatic subunits (chlorophenyl, methoxyphenyl and phenyl) are 9.44 (14), 83.14 (1) and 20.86 (15)°, respectively. In the crystal, no classic hydrogen bonds are found; however C—H...π interactions link the molecules into chains parallel to the c axis. |
