| Abstract | Abstract: The “Stub-End Type ” Residential Area is a special community, which is characterized by its position that is located in the end of a direction in a city and the single direction, from which its residents go out. After seeing its location, surroundings et cetera and its advantages, we found that such settlement has not been rationally and orderly made the best use of by using the external conditions. On the contrary, serious problems and disadvantages have emerged conspicuously. In this paper, by citing an example of the southern settlements in Jinan, combined with the factors of its geographical location, natural surroundings and geological conditions, we’ll talk about the motives for “Stub-End Type ” Spatial Development and relevant solutions and means from a professional point of view to have healthy and harmonious development of Stub-End Type Residential Area. |
