| Abstract | Abstract. Skutterudite CoSb3 doped with nickel was prepared by the RF induction melting in an encapsulated quartz ampoule, and its doping effects on the thermoelectric properties were investigated. Single phase δ-CoSb3 was successfully obtained by encapsulated induction melting and subsequent annealing. Nickel atoms acted as donors by substituting cobalt atoms. Thermoelectric properties were remarkably improved by the appropriate annealing and doping, and they were closely related to phase transitions and dopant activation. 1. |
