| Abstract | The rising demand of mixed reality postproduction requires an exact reconstruction of the camera parameters during the shoot for correlating the view of a virtual camera with a real one. This paper describes a tool for determining the parameters of the real camera view, image-based. During postproduction selected reference points are tracked on the video stream, the relative geometrical relations of which are known. The 2D screen projections of especially coloured markers are initialised as referenced points and tracked throughout a video sequence. The virtual and real camera views are correlated for each image. The focus lies in combining virtual objects with moving real objects, with particular interest in 3Dcharacter animation for mixed reality applications. |
