| Abstract | Computers and the Internet are becoming a fundamental way to communicate worldwide. Information security has become an essential part of our daily lives. Organizations have accepted that the protection of information and information assets is a fundamental business requirement and are implementing an increasing number of security counter measures against potential threats. However, when a security incident has taken place, many organizations do not have proper guidelines to conduct a forensic investigation and often fail to bring the investigation to a productive conclusion (Sinangin D, 2002).
