| Abstract | Abstract: It is evident that electric utilities all over world are facing an increasing number of complaints about distribution systems ’ reliability. High levels of continuity and quality are the two characteristics that customers expect and demand. Therefore distribution systems ’ reliability increase constitutes one of the most important issues in the studies of distribution power systems ’ electrical engineers. The purpose of this paper is to study the distribution systems ’ reliability increase using a decision-making process based on both incremental cost and incremental benefits criteria. The IEEE Reliability Test System has been used as a case study and useful conclusions concerning reliability investment appraisals are stated. |
