| Abstract | Abstract: This study focuses on the optimizing chromatographic conditions for UPLC separation and rapid identification of oligostilbenes from crude extract by liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry. Hemsleyanol D was detected in leaves extract of Shorea macrophylla and isohopeaphenol in its wood extract. Two compounds, balanocarpol and vaticanol A present in Shorea leprosula wood extract. The identification was performed by comparison of their mass fragmentation patterns with those in database. Key words: Dipterocarpaceae S. macrophylla S. leprosula Dereplication LC-MS INTRODUCTION properties, anti-inflammatory activity is the most widely studied [4, 5], followed by cytotoxicity [6]. Shorea macrophylla and Shorea leprosula, However, antimicrobial [7, 8] and antioxidant [9] activity locally called ‘engkabang jantung ’ and ‘meranti tembaga ’ has also been investigated widely. respectively, are plants of Dipterocarpaceae family [1]. The purpose of this study is to quickly identify |
