| Abstract | We summarize recent nonperturbative results obtained for the thermodynamics of an SU(2) and an SU(3) Yang-Mills theory being in its confining (center) phase. This phase is associated with a dynamical breaking of the local magnetic center symmetry. Emphasis is put on an explanation of the involved concepts. Introduction. This is the last one in a series of three papers giving an abbreviated presentation of nonperturbative concepts and results for the thermodynamics of an SU(2) or an SU(3) Yang-Mills theory as obtained in [1, 2, 3].
