| Abstract | Processing the experimental tie-lines in the miscibility gap of the Ba-Cu-Y ternary liquid alloys coupled with the Gibbs energies of the Ba-Cu and Cu-Y binaries estimated earlier has led to description of the Gibbs energy of the ternary melt and to the complete ternary phase diagram. The transformation of an open triangular simplex to the plane that can ease significantly optimization and calculation of the ternary phase diagrams is suggested. The literature and present results are discussed. 1. |
