| Abstract | Graz. Her work within several European R&D Projects on technology-enhanced learning focuses on the representation, modelling, and assessment of knowledge and competence. In particular, she is doing research on the use of concept maps as a means to build prerequisite structures among learning objects and competencies, and on the validation of concept maps. Further research interests cover the application of concept maps as a learning and teaching strategy as well as the evaluation of e-learning. Alexander Nussbaumer received a Master degree in Telematics (Telecommunications and Informatics) from Graz University of Technology (Austria). Since 2006 he is a researcher at the Cognitive Science Section of the University of Graz. There he has been involved in several EC-funded projects on e-learning, where he contributed with scientific research and technical implementations. His general research interests are in e-learning systems and tools, knowledge and competence representation and visualisation, as well as semantic Web, information systems, and information retrieval. |
