| Abstract | Undergraduate degrees have been offered in biomedical engineering for more than 30 years, and industrial opportunities are expanding. Opportunities may be limited, however, because segments of industry are uncertain about the characteristics of a biomedical engineer. In response to this, and to assist new programs, the Curriculum Project of the VaNTH (Vanderbilt-Northwestern-Texas-Harvard/MIT) Engineering Research Center in Bioengineering Educational Technologies seeks to determine the key topics that should be part of the curriculum for all undergraduate biomedical engineers. |
