Description	The project rationale, previous year's objectives, and major accomplishments of the Bean/Cowpea Collaborative Research Support Program are summarized. Five-year (1992-97) project extension goals are described as to research in biological sciences and research, training, and impact expected in social sciences. The anticipated contributions are enumerated and the workplan is described for research objectives (specific objectives and methods, project logistics, and expected outcomes), training program, project integration, and budget request. (CIAT) Se resumen los fundamentos del Programa de Apoyo para la Investigacion Colaborativa en Frijol y Caupi, los objetivos del ano anterior y los principales logros. Se describen los objetivos de la extension del proyecto a 5 anos (1992-97) en cuanto a investigacion en ciencias biologicas e investigacion, capacitacion e impacto esperado en ciencias sociales. Se enumeran las contribuciones anticipadas y se describe el plan de trabajo para los objetivos de la investigacion (objetivos y metodos especificos, logistica y resultados esperados), el programa de capacitacion, la integracion de los proyectos y el presupuesto requerido.
