The comments of Working Group 1 at ICW98 on Recommendation 5 are also attached.The CDC supported the conceptual framework of integrated NRM, but not the establishment of an additional network on that subject. The concept should permeate the work of the system. A CDC Committee on Sustainability and Environment would take leadership in sharing experience in this field.
