| Description | Report of the TAC Panel on Research on Livestock Diseases in Sub-Saharan Africa which was charged with considering ICIPE and ITC for support by the CGIAR. The panel also looked at the Centre de Recherche sur les Trypanosomoses Animales (CRTA), or the Center for Research on Animal Trypanosomiasis, a regional organization based in Burkina Faso.Rather than proposing support for any of the three non associated centers as such, the panel recommended that ILCA and ILRAD incorporate those aspects of the three centers' programs that were relevant to strategic international research. It also recommended establishment of a task force for integrated trypanosomiasis control that would capitalize on the comparative advantages of all five centers. Agenda document, TAC 51 and 52. |
