| Abstract | We are very pleased to welcome you to the first in the series of Wireless Health conferences (Wireless Health 2010) and their Conference Proceedings. Wireless Health 2010 was created to be the primary annual single-track conference series convening the vanguard international research communities in Wireless Health technology and medical research. The year of 2010 brought rapid expansion in this field with participation from a new Wireless Health research community, a new product and service industry, government leadership and policy makers. Wireless Health 2010 was established in-cooperation with the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM). The mission of our General Chairs and Steering Committee for Wireless Health 2010 has been to establish and expand the highest profile academic and industrial research forum for this new field of Wireless Health. We are committed to guiding the Wireless Health series to promote an international community that will accelerate the development and adoption of this new vision for healthcare. We are most pleased to report that the mission for our first year was met. Wireless Health 2010 convened the leading academic, industry, and government participants with over 440 registrants to the conference. Outstanding contributed presentations, demonstrations, invited presentations, and panel presentations all appeared. Networking and interaction among attendees was active and well supported by the conference venue at the La Jolla Torrey Pines Hilton. A distinguished Technical Program Committee was formed and includes leaders in this new field and its constituent areas. The Technical Program Committee Chairs included Professor Shu Chien, Professor William Kaiser, and Professor Jack Stankovic. The Wireless Health 2010 Conference received 53 outstanding submissions for presentation at the conference and publication in the proceedings. The submissions were each reviewed by at least four members of the Technical Program Committee during a lengthy review cycle. The Technical Program Committee met in La Jolla, California to deliberate over final selection of papers and selected 21 papers from the 53 submissions. |

National Digital Library of India (NDLI) is a virtual repository of learning resources which is not just a repository with search/browse facilities but provides a host of services for the learner community. It is sponsored and mentored by Ministry of Education, Government of India, through its National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology (NMEICT). Filtered and federated searching is employed to facilitate focused searching so that learners can find the right resource with least effort and in minimum time. NDLI provides user group-specific services such as Examination Preparatory for School and College students and job aspirants. Services for Researchers and general learners are also provided. NDLI is designed to hold content of any language and provides interface support for 10 most widely used Indian languages. It is built to provide support for all academic levels including researchers and life-long learners, all disciplines, all popular forms of access devices and differently-abled learners. It is designed to enable people to learn and prepare from best practices from all over the world and to facilitate researchers to perform inter-linked exploration from multiple sources. It is developed, operated and maintained from Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur.
